We follow an eight-stage journey for both the buying and the remortgaging process

We’re proud to offer a bespoke service. As part of this commitment, we work with a panel of solicitors and conveyors who we are able to instruct on your behalf; just another way we can make the mortgage process as stress-free as possible.

The journey will be slightly different for each individual, but this will give you an idea of the processes we follow.

1. How much can you borrow?

The first step is to get to know you and understand your requirements. We will also:

  • Explain our services and how we can help you
  • Explain mortgage costs
  • Explain mortgage schemes
  • Explain repayment methods
  • Complete a budget planner
  • Work out how much you can borrow
  • Explain how we can protect you, your family and your home

2. Finding your dream home

Part of our bespoke service is taking you all the way from finding the house to moving in and making it a home. Not only will we help you in your search, but we will also give you a complete sales history on the property you are thinking about buying, including:

  • How long the property has been on the market
  • Any price reductions that have taken place
  • Details of any sales that have fallen through

3. Completing the paperwork

We will organise all the paperwork and make the process as easy as possible. We will:

  • Recommend the most suitable mortgage scheme
  • Recommend appropriate protection arrangements
  • Arrange any up-front fees/costs, such as the valuation/survey fee and arrangement fee (which could be added to the loan)

4. Arranging a survey or valuation

The next step is for a survey or valuation to be carried out on the property.

5. Reviewing your mortgage offer

We will then review your mortgage offer and your protection arrangements to ensure everything is in place.

6. Finalising purchase arrangements

We will then explain the next steps and confirm the first payment dates on your mortgage and protection arrangements.

7. Exchanging contracts

You will then be legally committed to purchasing the property and the completion date will be agreed.

8. It’s yours!

With the purchase complete, the property is yours and you can move in! We’ll be there at the end of the phone should you need further support for your property needs, both now and in the future.

1. Your remortgage needs

The first step is to understand your circumstances and needs when it comes to remortgaging. We will discuss and analyse your situation and goals to ensure that remortgaging is in your best interests.

2. Your protection needs

It’s important to safeguard your family and home against unexpected events. We’ll assess whether your loved ones and your home are suitably protected and recommend solutions.

3. Your decisions

As part of the remortgaging process, we will:

  • Tailor a bespoke recommendation that suits your short, medium and long-term goals
  • Select a suitable lender and mortgage that meets your needs
  • Give you time to make your decisions
  • Submit the application on your behalf

4. Valuation

We will then arrange a valuation on your property to ensure you have enough equity to qualify for the mortgage loan.

5. Remortgage offer

Once all necessary checks have been completed, your offer will go through the approval process.

6. Final checks

Once approved, we will help you to close the loan and complete the paperwork.

7. Completion

The process will then be complete.

8. Put your feet up and relax!

Your remortgage is complete! Time to relax and enjoy the savings your remortgaging efforts will provide. We’ll be there at the end of the phone should you need further support for your property needs, both now and in the future.
