Is it time to review your life cover?

If you’ve recently experienced life changes, you might wish to review your life insurance or consider taking it out for the first time. It may not be nice to think about, but planning now could ensure your loved ones are supported in the event of your death.

Do I need cover?

If you have financial dependents such as children or a spouse, it is worth considering buying life cover; having a policy in place could help your loved ones to meet any monthly payments. Before doing so, check if you employer offers life insurance or a ‘death in service’ benefit – you might decide that the payout from that is sufficient.

What type of cover do I need?

There are different policies on offer, the most common being term insurance. This provides life cover for a fixed amount of time and, if you passed away, the insurer would pay out a lump sum to your beneficiaries. There are also types where the payout increases or decreases over time – this could suit you, depending on why you’ve decided to have cover.

Unlike some other insurances, life cover doesn’t tend to come up for renewal so you could potentially be taking out insurance for many decades. We can help find the best policy for you based on your own specific circumstances. Feel free to reach out to Emma and the team here to discuss your options.

As with all insurance policies, conditions and exclusions will apply.
